I ♥ Ocean Dreams blog

Hello my friends, how are you? I hope you are having a nice day! I would like to share with you a very lovely blog called Ocean Dreams from my dear friend Sierra. She's a very sweet and beautiful girl with a very creative writing style. She speaks from her heart, and her blog is full of beautiful images!

I found her blog more than a year ago, and when I told her about my family and I founding out that my little nephew had cancer, she immediately posted about him and shared the word.

She's an awesome friend; she's has helped my family and I throughout Dante's ordeal, and she's always being there. Did I mentioned that we haven't met? I hope one day we have the opportunity to meet one another.

Above, there's an illustration that I did for her a while back. For that illustration, I got inspired in the Sex in the City movie poster. She's a very big fan of that show. I hope you'll like it.

Well my friends, have a wonderful week and don't forget to check Sierra's blog, Ocean Dreams. You'll love it. Byeee

My Heart goes to People in Japan

"Each of us as human beings has a responsibility to reach out to help our brothers and sisters affected by disasters. One day it may be us or our loved ones needing someone to reach out and help."
Michael W. Hawkins, American Red Cross

It is with great sadness that today we face the aftermath of Japan's tragic earthquake and tsunami. My heart goes to everyone that was affected by this natural disaster. Today, more than ever we have to pray and stand together to help people in need.

If you want to help, there are many organizations where you can contribute. Here's the link to the American Red Cross, an organization that helps victims of disasters.

The people of Japan are in our prayers. God bless you.

Thanks to God!

Dante at 3 and 1/2 yrs. old
Dante and his mom (my sister Sylvia) 3/06/2011

Hello my friends, I'm so happy to be back and bring you some good news about my little nephew Dante. I've posted before about him, but if you haven't seen his story please click here. He's only 4 yrs. old, and last year he was diagnosed with a terrible cancer called Neuroblastoma.

Dante has been through a lot this past year, and my family has seen not only Dante's pain and suffering, but also that of many other kids who are sick or have cancer. Nobody wants to ever see a kid suffer, but unfortunately this things do happen.

Me and my family are so fortunate to have the support from many many people, even people that we don't know, who have helped us along the way, and have prayed for him and have given us comfort.

Today, I would like to thank God because Dante is finally doing better. He's still got a long way to go, but for now his treatment is working, and he's even got hair. Please continue to pray for him; for his full recovery. I know this disease is hard to beat, but I do believe in miracles. Please pray for Dante and for children all over the world who are sick and suffering.

Well my friends, I just wanted to give you Dante's update because my family and I are really happy for him. I'll keep you informed on his progress. Thanks for your prayers, God bless you!

I ♥ Blythe Doll

Blythe Photograph by Rocio R.

Hello my friends! How are you doing? I hope you are doing fine! Today, I wanted to share with you my love for the Blythe Doll. I found this vintage and artsy doll back in 2008, and ever since I fell in love with her.

This doll has a fascinating story that dates back to 1972, but unfortunately the market wasn't ready for her at that time. Gina Garan, rediscovered this doll and took some amazing pictures that helped to bring the Blythe Doll back into the market. You can read more of the story here.

There are many blogs and sites dedicated to the Blythe Doll. One of my favorites is this page that has a collection of Blythe Doll makeup.

Many fans also love collecting this doll and her accessories which can be very pricey. I just have one that I bought on Ebay. It's the one on the first picture, and I paid almost $100. I absolutely adore her and I think she's worth it.  ; )

One fun thing about this doll is that the doll has a string that you can pull, and the color of her eyes changes into four different colors. Isn't that awesome or what?

Well my friends, I hope you'll like this post, and if you didn't know anything about the Blythe Doll, now you know a little bit...hahaha! ;D
